A259 Icklesham to Guestling Green footpath repairs – Monday 24 July to Friday 8 September
The Parish Council have received the following message from National Highways:-
“We’ll soon be carrying out essential repairs to the footpath along the A259 between Icklesham and Guestling Green. This includes cutting back any overgrown plants.
We’re also going to take the opportunity to make improvements to the parking area outside Guestling Bradshaw Church of England Primary School. To minimise disruption around the school, this work has been planned for the summer holidays.
Closure information
The work will be carried out in phases using temporary two-way traffic lights, starting on the evening of Monday 24 July and finishing on the morning of Saturday 9 September.
We’ll be working on weeknights between the hours of 6pm and 4am only, when there are fewer vehicles on the road. Outside of these hours, we’ll keep the road open as usual.
As we progress, we’ll post information about where we’re working on our webpage: nationalhighways.co.uk/se-maintenance, just look for A259 Icklesham to Guestling Green footpath repairs.
There will be a footpath available throughout the improvements. There may be times when we’re working on the footpath running across the access to properties, we’ll directly contact any residents affected.
Please note that these works are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather.
